As expected, today in China introduced the Realme GT Neo 3, which became a powerful bid to become a hit of sales. But before proceeding to the announcement of new items, the company boasted that the army of owners of the realme GT Neo 2 amounted to 2 million users. And now, a year later, we meet a successor, where among the main innovations is the hardware platform, a camera with an optical stub and an increased speed of fast charging.
Realme GT Neo 3 received an “updated” design, which implies a typical display with a round hole for the front camera and the characteristic design of the main camera unit on the rear panel. Today, there are many smartphones executed similarly. But to make the Realme GT Neo 3 generally look cheerful and fresh, it received a spectacular purple Coloring “Le Mans” with a couple of stripes on the backside, designed to cause an association with a sports car.
The choice was also offered black and silver colours, where only the latest version also received “branded” stripes at the back. The front and back are Gorilla Glass 5, but the frame is made of plastic. The weight of the smartphone was 188 grams and dimensions 163.3×75.6×8.2 mm.
From the front, the Realme GT Neo 3 installed an OLED screen with a diagonal of 6.7 inches with a resolution of 2412×1080 pixels. The contrast ratio was 5,000,000:1, the colour accuracy of JNCD ≈ 0.4, the peak brightness was 1000 nits, there is support for DCI-P3, the refresh rate is 120 Hz and the touch response is 360 Hz (intelligent instantaneous 1000 Hz). The company especially focused on the minimum of frames along the perimeter of the display: the side – 1.48 mm, and the upper and lower borders – 1.84 mm and 2.37 mm, respectively. All this allowed to “stretch” the display on 94.2% of the front surface. There is also a display fingerprint scanner and a 16 megapixel Samsung S5K3P9 front camera, which fit into a hole with a diameter of 3.74 mm.
Realme GT Neo 3 was released in two versions, differing in battery capacity and fast-charging power. So, one version offers a two-cell battery for 5000 mAh and wired charging for 80 watts, and the second – 4500 mAh and charging with a capacity of 150 watts. In the latter case, the full “refuelling” will take 19 minutes and only 5 minutes is enough for the battery life to be replenished by 50%.
To create such powerful charging in the Realme GT Neo 3, the company installed a special chip for flash charging and proposed a new high-power charging architecture 4: 2. Offered 38 degrees of protection and charging passed the test for the safety of operation in conditions of 1600 cycles of discharge/charging.
Another important feature of the novelty is the 5-nanometer chip Dimensity 8100. RAM standard LPDDR5 up to 12 GB and permanent UFS 3.1 up to 256 GB. According to the results of the test in AnTuTu, the smartphone is gaining 815,347 “parrots”. And the Realme GT Neo 3 offers a game mode GT Mode 3.0 and the most powerful cooling system in the history of the company with an area of up to 4129 mm², capable of removing heat in an area of 39,606 mm². Thanks to the nine-level cooling system, the peak temperature of the chip are reduced by 19 degrees.
The main camera of the Realme GT Neo 3 received a set of three sensors, where the main Sony IMX766 is 50 megapixels with an optical format of 1/1.56″ and an aperture of f/1.88. It was supplemented with an 8 megapixel widescreen with a viewing angle of 119 degrees and a macro sensor of 2 megapixels. It is noteworthy that the main sensor was awarded an optical stub.
In the arsenal of Realme GT Neo 3 stereo speakers, a linear vibration motor, a USB Type-C port, support for two SIM cards, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. The device running Android 12 with the shell Realme UI 3.0 works.
Realme GT Neo 3 in the “standard” version with a 5000 mAh battery and 80 W charging is offered in three versions: 6/128 GB – $ 314, 8/128 GB – $ 362 and 8/256 GB – $ 409. Anyone wishing for a 150-watt battery option will have to choose between versions with 8/256GB and 12/256GB of storage with a price tag of $409 and $440 respectively. At the start of sales, the device in this version will be offered at a discount of $ 16.
