According to statistics from Counterpoint Research, of all Samsung smartphones, only the budget Galaxy A12 entered the top ten best-selling in the world market in 2021, taking 6th place.
As many as seven positions in the ranking went to apple’s iPhone, two more snatched by the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi.
The entry-level Galaxy A12 is popular with consumers in almost all regions, including residents of North and Latin America, Western Europe.
The A12 may not be the best budget offering based on Android, but it has a powerful battery and longer software support, unlike the alternatives. According to counterpoint Research experts, the Galaxy A13 5G that replaced it will be no less popular.

The Galaxy A12 accounted for 2.0% of total sales in the published list – a stable 6th place. Two Xiaomi smartphones, Redmi 9A and Redmi 9 were left behind in the 7th and 10th positions with 1.9% and 1.1%, respectively. The first five positions went to Apple: iPhone 12, 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, 12 Pro, and iPhone 11. The iPhone 12 took a record 2.9% of sales.
The high sales of the iPhone 12 series were likely the result of the public’s demand for 5G.
None of the flagship smartphones from Samsung was included in the list of popular. We can conclude that the American corporation remains the market leader in expensive devices.
