Over the past year, Samsung has applied for several patents hinting at the company’s plans to bring a new foldable design device to market. It looks like this is sure to happen, as the increased news stream strongly points to Samsung’s third foldable phone.
According to the Galaxy Club, Samsung is going to release a new foldable phone this year, possibly simultaneously with the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4, the debut of which is scheduled for August at the next Galaxy Unpacked event. Presumably, this device is under development and will soon be ready for production.

Thus, this year Samsung will release three folding models: B4, Q4 and N4. B4 stands for Galaxy Z Flip4, Q4 stands for Galaxy Z Fold4, and N4 will be a new, as yet unnamed foldable smartphone. Well-known insider Ice Universe believes that this device is codenamed “Diamond”. It’s possible that this new device could only be available in limited quantities and become a niche product.
As for the characteristics of the device itself, little is known about them. Rumours are currently swirling around a large form factor in the style of a folding tablet or slider.
