Although he is not completely independent, his watch is of interest and now we know when it will be released. And we can also say what they will be. Let’s find out.
When will the POCO Watch come out?
Some time ago, we started receiving reports that POCO was preparing its first smartwatch. Many immediately rejoiced as they are fans of the brand. It should be noted here that, given the features of POCO smartphones, this is quite understandable. Today, the company published official confirmation that its first product from the category of wearable devices will be launched at 20:00 GMT (23:00 Moscow time) on April 26.
The gadget will be called POCO Watch, this is quite predictable, but the appearance and functionality of the product remained unknown. Now we can share the leaked renders and specifications of the POCO smartwatch.
A teaser image published by POCO Philippines shows that the brand’s first smartwatch will feature a square display. It seems that the company can confirm some more functions of POCO Watch before their official announcement.
POCO Watch Features
POCO Watch has a 1.6-inch AMOLED display with curved edges. It offers a resolution of 360 x 320 pixels. On the right side, there is a control button, which befits such a device. Something similar is offered… all manufacturers. There is nothing new here, but what attracts attention is the square facets of the case, which have been waiting for several generations from the Apple Watch. Probably, this was inspired by the design of the new watch.
There will be only one button on the side. It’s not as convenient as two. Not to mention the “crown.”
Besides the simple time display, the POCO smartwatch will offer some other useful features. Their environments are pretty standard activity tracking and fitness features. These are heart rate monitoring and control of oxygen in the blood (SpO2). The watch will receive a battery capacity of 225 mAh and will weigh about 31 grams. They will receive 5ATM water protection. As for the dimensions, we can count on dimensions of 39.1 x 34.4 x 9.98 mm.
What will be the smartwatch POCO
The smartwatch will be available in black, blue and ivory. It seems to be equipped with a silicone strap. Unfortunately, there is no information about the price of the device yet.
A square body is more comfortable than a round one.
As is often the case with brands that are part of a large company, you can find clear similarities with other products. So the upcoming POCO watch looks suspiciously similar to the Redmi Watch 2. True, the latter support work with GPS, which is not declared for POCO Watch. Perhaps there will be no such support, but this should have an extremely positive impact on the cost.
