Samsung’s new microSD cards can last 16 years without stopping

New items are characterized by increased reliability and are primarily designed for cameras and DVRs. The cards are based on a chip with a long service life in different conditions, so the development is not afraid of even extreme temperatures and immersion in water.

Samsung’s PRO Endurance microSDHC and microSDXC memory cards are designed for DVRs, surveillance cameras, and professional video cameras. Both varieties run on enterprise-class NAND chips. They can operate at temperatures from -25 to +85 Celsius and dive into the water to a depth of 1 meter for 72 hours. In addition, they are resistant to magnets and X-rays.

MicroSDHC cards are available in 32GB and 64GB configurations, have read speeds of up to 100MB/s, and write speeds of up to 30MB/s. The drives meet Class 10, U1, and V10 standards. MicroSDXC models are available in 128 and 256 GB versions, and comply with Class 10, U3 and V30 standards. The read speed of these cards is up to 100 MB/ s, writing – is up to 40 MB / s.
