Now, consumers in India can only get their hands on a Nothing(1) phone through Flipkart once it arrives in the country. However, the London-based consumer technology company is not yet willing to disclose the launch date of Nothing Phone (1) in India. Nothing founder Carl Pei previously pointed out that Nothing Phone (1) will premiere “6/9 at 4:20.” As such, many people are waiting for the phone to first arrive on June 9, 2022. What’s more, Pei announced a key partnership to sell the future smartphone in a press note on May 10.

Pei confirmed that Flipkart, Telekom Deutschland and O2 are three partners of Nothing Phone (1). O2 is now a UK telecommunications service provider. Similarly, Telekom Deutschland operates in Germany. Finally, Flipkart is one of the leading e-commerce platforms in India. Recall, that the brand has teamed up with Flipkart to sell Nothing Ear 1 in the country. The e-commerce platform is happy to sell another long-awaited Nothing product in India. Flipkart Senior Vice President Ajay Vir Yadav spoke about the platform’s second collaboration with Nothing.
Yadav said Flipkart is a customer-centric platform offering the latest innovative products. Moreover, the company is pleased to introduce the Nothing phone in India. He claims that the Nothing phone will be a significant breakthrough in the smartphone industry. Unfortunately, details about the debut of the phone in the country are still few. As stated earlier, Pei hinted at a June 9 launch date. However, this may be a simple joke. Nothing India Vice President and CEO Manu Sharma also shed light on the launch date of Nothing Phone (1) in India.
What else to expect?
Sharma suggests that the phone could be launched in India on the same day it is released worldwide. The main characteristics of the phone have become the subject of many leaks. If past leaks are confirmed, then Nothing Phone (1) will be equipped with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. What’s more, this screen can provide a refresh rate of 90Hz. Under the hood will likely be the Snapdragon 778G chipset. It will also come with 8GB of RAM and offer 128GB of internal storage. As for the optics, the back of the phone can accommodate three cameras.
This triple rear camera will include a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel camera, and a 2-megapixel lens. In addition, the phone will use a 4500 mAh battery to extract juices. This cell can support wireless charging and fast charging solution. Nothing recently released the Nothing launcher for some Android phones. Earlier this week, the brand said that the beta version of the Nothing launcher will be available for all mobile devices with Android OS 11 and above.
