Xiaomi often decides to update older devices that were not specified in the deployment stages. This is the case with the Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9 and POCO M2. These are terminals that appeared in 2020 and belong to the low and middle range.
Xiaomi will update for the mentioned devices. They will get MIUI 13 based on Android 12.

In the customization level source code, you can see the first stable build of MIUI 13 for Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9 and POCO M2. Each of the respective versions is V13.0.0.1.SJOMIXM, V13.0.0.1.SJCMIXM and V13.0.0.1.SJRINXM.
This is good news for users who still have one of these three Xiaomi mobile phones. The update will be released between August and September this year.
It remains only to wait for the moment when these smartphones will receive an upgrade. Meanwhile, Xiaomi is already talking about the development of MIUI 13 Lite to improve the performance of budget terminals.
