When many of us were already finishing the big updates for iOS 15, less than a month before WWDC 2022, Apple goes and launches the first Beta of iOS 15.6, along with the rest of the Betas for the other platforms.
Apple does not rest, and despite the fact that iOS 16 is less than a month away from being shown to the public, although its definitive version will not arrive until after the summer, it has just launched a new Beta of what will be the next update for our iPhone and iPad. iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6 Beta 1 are now available to developers and are expected to soon reach users enrolled in Apple’s Public Beta program. But not only have these first Betas been released for iPhone and iPad, but we also have new versions for the Apple Watch, watchOS 8.7 Beta 1, for the HomePod, HomePod 15.6 Beta 1, and Apple TV, tvOS 15.6 Beta 1. The Mac is not far behind and we have macOS 12.5 Beta 1 available, and it does not leave three who have not been able to update to Monterey, also launching the first Beta of macOS 11.6.7.
We do not know the novelties that these new versions bring, which we are already downloading on our devices. After seeing the few (or almost none) novelties of iOS 15.5 we do not have much hope placed in these first betas of iOS 15.6 (and the rest), but although they are surely performance improvements and bug fixes, there may be some last-minute surprise that we will tell you as soon as we know about it. The big surprise is expected for next June 6, in which we do expect many new features with the arrival of iOS 16, watchOS 9 and macOS 13.
