A watermark on Xiaomi devices is visible text or graphics that accompany videos and photos. Disable or enable the watermark in the Xiaomi Camera app
Previously, Xiaomi enabled this feature by default on devices, but after Android 7+, this feature is no longer enabled by default. In the Android 10 update, the company added new features to the watermark section of the camera app. With the new camera app update, we can now change the text to any one we like.
To enable or disable the watermark on Xiaomi devices:
- Open the camera app
- Tap the three lines in the upper-right corner of the screen and sign in to settings.
- Find the “Watermark” switch and you can turn it off or on.

Remove watermark from photos using the gallery app
There are a number of methods you can use to remove a watermark from photos. However, you don’t have to look for a solution too far. Fortunately, Xiaomi offers a watermark removal feature in the stock gallery app, which can easily get rid of unwanted watermarks in photos. However, removing a camera watermark using the Gallery app may not work on all devices. You may need to update the gallery app to the latest version.
To remove a watermark from your photo:
- Open the gallery and select the photo you want to remove the watermark from.
- Click on the edit button and you will see a “remove watermark” button.
