Apple Watch Series 8 may have a feature to recognize elevated body temperature

The editor of the news agency Bloomberg Mark Gurman told in his blog about the new smartwatch Apple, which will debut this fall. According to Gurman, the Apple Watch 8 series will be equipped with a sensor that will notify the user of elevated body temperature. The new component has already passed internal testing.

The journalist notes that we are not talking about exact indicators. The sensor will detect a deviation from the norm. Having sent the owner an alert about the temperature increase, the system will recommend using a special thermometer to obtain more accurate indicators or consult a doctor.

Mark Gurman at the same time clarified that not all models of the Apple Watch Series 8 will have such a sensor. It is assumed that the function will be implemented in the standard version and a new protected edition designed for professional athletes.

The editor of Bloomberg claims that the 8th series of the Apple Watch in design will not differ from the 7 series. And in the role of the CPU will be the chip that was used in the Apple Watch Series 6 and 7. Gourmet also said that more expensive representatives of the new model range receive updated displays.
