End of official service of 7 Xiaomi smartphones

According to the official statement of Xiaomi, 7 mobile phones of the company will no longer be produced. The end of their official service came into force on July 1, 2022.

These Xiaomi and Redmi mobile phones have run out of official spare parts

Xiaomi has officially ceased production of the following devices:

  • Mi Max 3;
  • Mi 8 Explorer Edition;
  • Mi 8 Fingerprint Edition;
  • Mi Mix 3;
  • Mi Play;
  • Redmi S2;
  • Redmi 6 Pro.

This means that the company will stop the production and supply of spare parts. Also, service departments will no longer be able to carry out maintenance.

For now, authorized technical services will be able to continue repairing Xiaomi phones from the above list as long as spare parts are available. However, when stocks run out, these terminals will not have official parts.

The mentioned smartphones went on sale in 2018. Most of them are already 4 years old. As a rule, Xiaomi devices have a service life of 3 to 4 years, after which they show signs of wear or malfunction of components. Hence the importance of the availability of official spare parts.
